The nations #2 transportation brokerage firm, Total Quality Logistics has opened an office in Jacksonville, and it is their 4th office in Florida.  North East Florida has 2 deepwater ports (Fernandina and Jacksonville) and JaxPort will soon become the largest vehicle exporting port.  There are tow commercial airports, Jacksonville International, and Northeast Florida Regional.   Multiple rail lines, including CSX, Norfolk Southern and RailAmerica can reach 45 million customers within 8 hours.  Also on the logistics and intermodal front are three interstate highways, and a 4th interstate just 10 miles away.

North East Florida is also home to many defense industry giants with Northrop Grumman’s Aircraft Integration Center of Excellence in St. Augustine.   Defenshield, a ballistic protection equipment manufacturer, will be consolidating its NY and C operations in St. Augustine.  Aveo Engineering is also moving into Palm Coast.
